An Intern’s Diary Pt. 3

If you’re looking for a Russian to English translation internship – Eclectic Translations in St Petersburg is the place for you!

This is part 3 in a series of posts written by an intern we had back in September 2016; these diary entries should answer questions you may have about what an internship might entail.

What I’ve been up to

Friends like Bjorn and Bucky (la-la-la-la-la-laaaa)

Notes

I wonder if I’ll dream of the land of Bjorn, Bucky, Franny and Chicky tonight… Again, working on the whole process (and at a slightly quicker pace now), I feel much more satisfied with myself once I complete an episode, than when I just translate. I feel I’m really doing something. There is so much more to a translation agency than just translation, and I think as a freelancer one can become quite arrogant and insulated. Today the “English corner” became the “Translators’ Bench” as I started asking Sasha, Eclectic’s in-house Russian linguist, for help too. Other people’s minds are brilliant resources.
