Position: AV Project Manager

Responsibilities: managing audiovisual projects (and urgent deadlines)

In Her Own Words: Just don’t be stupid

What Her Colleagues Say (but not really): Arina is from the city of Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East. After graduating from university with a degree in Customs Administration, she moved to St. Petersburg in summer 2019, opened a little shop selling flower arrangements, and joined a dance collective, and, importantly, the Eclectic Translations team. It’s hard to tell what logic governs her actions, but that’s probably a good thing.

When working on several large projects at once, Arina likes to imagine that she is “conducting a huge orchestra at La Scala. Except instead of gracing people’s ears, the orchestra is getting on their nerves, and the opera house is more like some ex-Soviet ‘House of Culture’ than La Scala.” She has no fixed film preferences: Guadagnino’s Suspiria is up there with Shukshin’s Happy Go Lucky near the top of her list.

She likes stretching at work, joking with (and about) her colleagues, baked goods from the nearby monastery, and irregular situations.
